Hologram Prism

The functionality of the hologram is simple. A Trapezoidal prism is made using clear plastic sheets, which are then glued together. The plastic sheets reflect the light that is emitted, this reflection tricks the eye from seeing a 2D object to seeing a 3D object.

This Trapezoidal Prism is made by creating 4 identically sized Trapezoid sides of the prism from plastic sheets and gluing all sides together.

Although the science behind the reflective function of the prism is not too difficult to understand, it is extremely difficult to calculate the proper proportions of each side to create a prism that works universally for all devices. Therefore, in order to create a prism that works perfectly for the device of our choice (iPad Pro) we had to do some more research.

The ratio that was used for our Prism is 4cm x 14cm x 20cm
